Medicine Dharma Reiki( Men Chhos Reiki ) -

The Ancient Buddhist Healing Method revived by Dr. Mikao Usui (known as REIKI worldwide).

History

Medicine Dharma Reiki is a Buddhist "Hands-On" method of healing with a lineage extending back to Sakyamuni Buddha, circa 563-480 B.C.E.  The method was taught by Sakyamuni Buddha to the physician Ratnagarbha who taught his son Ramamerti. The teaching has been handed down, travelling from India to Nepal, to Bhutan, to Tibet, to China, and then to Japan, where it was maintained at a low level of practice by a number of Japanese physicians in several Shingon Monasteries. Records, texts, and the Tantra giving the teaching were handed on from Dr. Usui to his friend and principal student Dr. Watanabe Kioshi Itami, who later placed the notes and documents in a small monastery North of Tokyo. The present-day Western teaching is developed from Dr. Usui's notes and the documents he passed on, and also the many years of research and experience of Lama Yeshe (Richard Blackwell) - the present Spiritual Director of Men Chhos Reiki International, Inc.

Today

The original Usui's papers still being translated under authority of Men Chhos Reiki International, Inc. (about 95% completed so far) and it'll take some more months or even years  to complete this enormous job. But it's clear now, that Dr. Usui gave his teachings in two different ways:

1. For non-Buddhist students of his he gave simple teaching what he called "UNIVERSAL REIKI" - that's what we know as Reiki in the West nowadays,
    
2. For Buddhist students of his he taught comprehensive teaching what he called "REIKI" - that's where the Medicine Dharma Reiki comes from.

Medicine Dharma Reiki Seminars

There are three levels of Medicine Dharma Reiki: Level 1, Level 2 and Master (Master-Practitioner and Master-Teacher) .

During the seminars the students are taught comprehensive teachings on: Vibratory Nature of the Universe, Karmic cause of illnesses, Health and the Five Elements, powerful healing techniques, Healing Gestures, Secret Mantras and Symbols, preparation and consecration of healing elixirs, accumulation and using the body's healing power, Diagnosis by direct perception, removal of karma and personal purification, dealing with the spirits of nature, and many others.

There are Buddhist and Medicine Dharma Reiki initiations on each level.

Who can participate in Medicine Dharma Reiki seminars?

The base of Usui's "REIKI" is an Ancient Buddhist Healing Method based on the "Tantra of the Lightning Flash" and it is obvious that One should be a follower of Buddhist philosophy to be able practice Medicine Dharma Reiki.

Medicine Dharma Reiki is a very advanced method of healing, what can be determined as a "SPIRITUAL HEALING" and  to understand and successfully practice it One's body and soul should be at an advanced level. This is why it is useful to complete  Level 2, 3/3A or Masters Level in any modern school of Reiki (although it is not compulsory).

Medicine Dharma Reiki Policy

-There is no Right REIKI,

-There is no Wrong REIKI,

- There are many facets of REIKI, as we know it from Dr. Usui,

-One just has to choose the right path for Oneself to experience the beauty of the Diamond known as REIKI.

The Teacher

Dr. Richard Blackwell is a Buddhist Lama and retired clinical psychologist. He is a reincarnated Lama - Drugpa Yeshe Trinley Odzer (IX Drugmar Rinpoche) and recognised by some of his students as a living Bodhisattva. He is the founder and Spiritual Director Men Chhos Reiki International Inc.  Currently Lama Yeshe is completing the translation and editing of the Usui's material as well as a number of never before translated Tibetan Buddhist texts on healing and related subjects. His hobbies include growing unusual medicinal plants. Before his ordination as a Buddhist Lama, he directed a mental health and substance abuse program in the private sector. He designed a number of mental health and substance abuse programs for small hospitals.

He presently conducts Men Chhos Reiki seminars in the USA and teaches on a one to one basis at his home in Portland, Oregon.
